Off Earth Mining Working Group

As a follow on to the Off Earth Mining Forum the Australian Centre for Space Engineering Research is the initial host of this working group, which aims to ensure the momentum built by the forum is maintained and to further investigate the wide range of concepts relevant to Off Earth Mining.

The Working Group aims to:

  • Bring together engineers, scientists, and other experts with current and future industry leaders who have an interest in the success of off earth mining

  • Provide an information exchange between members of the working group and interested members of the public

  • Be a vehicle for collaboration (companies/ research organisations/ governments)

  • Attract research funds to further research interplanetary engineering

  • Conduct a series of feasibility studies to prove viability of ideas (physical, economical, environmental and legal)
